Clinical Informatics Specialist
Andrew is a Clinical Informatics Specialist at UW Medicine – Northwest and serves as the primary EHR education specialist to all providers, nurses, ancillary clinicians, as well as providing adoption, deployment, sustainment, and optimization activities for various technology systems. Andrew earned a Master of Science in Social Work at Columbia University, and had been working as a Licensed Social Work Counselor at Northwest Hospital before transitioning to his current role in Clinical Informatics. Andrew's passion is identifying innovative technical solutions to improve processes and workflows, as well as promote patient care.
Kristina de la Cruz

Kristina has 10+ years of healthcare and public health experience and has transitioned into the wonderful world of clinical informatics. She is a credentialed EHR trainer for Pivot Point Consulting and is currently part of Epic’s largest (and mostly remote) implementation project for UW Medicine. Kristina has been a HIMSS WA State member since 2018. Her passion for informatics has led her to a position as a board officer the HIMSS WA State Clinical Informatics Committee. Being a part of the HIMSS organization has been one of the greatest highlights of her growing career. Kristina’s educational background includes a certificate in Licensed Practical Nursing and a bachelor’s degree in Public Health (with a certificate in Epidemiology) from Lake Washington Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in Clinical Informatics in Patient Centered Technologies from the University of Washington.

Operations at UW Valley Medical Center
James Jones (MHA, MSN, NEA-BC, RN-BC) is board certified as an Advanced Nurse Executive and in Nursing Informatics. He oversees nursing operations, ensures the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost effective systems, while promoting optimal health care delivery. Since joining the organization in 2014, James has been one of the driving forces behind its strategic and operational initiatives. As new technologies surface, he continues to look at ways to not only to improve communication, but also to add value, advance the quality of care, help with cost reduction, and improve patient safety, care coordination and the overall patient-caregiver experience. To achieve the overarching goals of the Quadruple Aim. One of James crowning moments was speaking at HIMSS18 national conference in Las Vegas, Nevada where he shared their exciting mobile communications implementation at Valley after their Epic go-live and the great and surprising clinical results. He currently serves as the Communications Director for the Washington State HIMSS Clinical Informatics Committee.
Health Analytics Consultant
Syreeta is currently a Health Analytics Consultant for UnitedHealth Group. In this role, she applies a broad understanding of medical claims data and analytical outcomes to tell the story to Human Resource Management leadership teams, Consulting Firms, and C Suite Officers. Prior to coming to UnitedHealth Group, she served as Director of Health Informatics at Qualis Health (now Coimagine Health) a Care Management Public Health company that service Medicaid and Medicare populations. She previously worked at HealthCare Service Corporation, the parent company to five Blue Cross Blue Shield plans, in various roles within Provider Affairs, Care Management Operations and Analytical Marketing Divisions. Syreeta has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management (HIM) and a master’s degree in health informatics (HI) from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Matt is a Data Analyst at Navigating Cancer, a healthcare technology company focused on providing Patient Relationship Management software to cancer clinics. He recently relocated to Seattle from NYC where he was a Data Analyst for a healthcare startup called Call9, which was an attempt to provide telemedicine care to nursing homes. Previous to that, he spent the majority of his career at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia working in the Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics. He attended Dickinson College where he earned his BS in Molecular and Biochemistry and went on to earn his MS in Health Informatics from Drexel University.

Sanjit oversees all data product offerings. He has 10+ years of healthcare data experience, ranging from RWE Strategy and Oncology Brand Strategy at IQVIA to Provider and Payer Data Strategy at Stanford Health Care, Advisory Board Company (now Optum Advisory), and Epic Systems. While at IQVIA and Navigating Cancer, Sanjit has leveraged his healthcare data background to deliver strategic and tangible data assets to support key initiatives at multiple top 10 biopharma. Sanjit earned his bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Polymer Chemistry from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill & his Master of Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
Credentialed Epic Trainer
Kathy has recently become a Credentialed Epic trainer and is an Assistant Nurse Manager in the Neurosciences ICU at Harborview Medical Center and has worked there for over 25 years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Seattle Pacific University and is currently working on a Master’s in Nursing Informatics from Western Governors University. Kathy is a U.S. Air Force veteran and currently lives in Seattle, originally from Canada, and grew up in Alaska. My goal is to use my experience and training to increase worldwide access to healthcare through telehealth. When I have time off, I enjoy traveling and hiking. I have climbed the Space Needle five times, 832 steps, and my best time was 11 minutes.
